With fewer than a million Druze in the entire world—most of them concentrated in Syria, Israel, Lebanon and Jordan—this was a devastating tragedy of unimaginable proportions.
A unique characteristic of the Druze people is their fierce loyalty to and respect for whatever society they live in. In Israel, they are honored as perhaps the single most loyal minority, with 80% serving in the IDF and defend their nation.
