We’re Always on the Air at 104.6 F.M. — Part One: The Tapes in the Wall

A routine delivery brings something new to Pinehaven: security cameras. With several children recently disappearing near the forest — and reports of a strange figure with roots covering its face attempting to lure others toward the treeline — Evelyn and Daniel are asked to keep watch from the broadcast station. But while searching through an old storage closet, they discover something that may be even more important than whatever the cameras are meant to capture. Hidden behind a piece of plywood inside the wall are fourteen cassette tapes, numbered and left behind by someone who once worked at the station. The first belongs to Eric — Number Seven. His recording tells the story of a night when the radio signal failed, something enormous climbed the tower, and the remains of the station’s previous operator were found tangled high above the ground. The deeper Evelyn and Daniel dig into Pinehaven’s past, the clearer one thing becomes: They were never the first people trapped here. And they probably won’t be the last.
