Breaking Bad Habits To Commune With God
In this week's episode we looked at the importance of breaking bad habits to commune with God. According to research, a habit takes 18 days to be formed, and while some teens have formed healthy habits that are beneficial to their adolescent lives, there are others who have formed bad habits that are keeping them outside the perfect will of God. As for me, I would have formed a habit of sleeping in late on the weekends because going to school so early during the weekdays had really drained me. With that said, it meant that my prayer time looked a little different on weekends, but our fellowship and communion with God should not suffer because of the unhealthy habits we have created. If something can be created, it can also be destroyed. Therefore, teens are encouraged to break those habits that stands in the way of their relationship with the Lord. As you listen in, I pray this episode blesses you. And if it does, please feel free to follow, like and share the podcast with your friends and family. Until next time, this is the Polymath Podcast with Ms Neisha, I'll see you on the other side.
Meeting With God on a Daily Basis
In this week's episode, we looked at the topic 'Meeting With God on a Daily Basis.' It is critical that teens know the importance of prioritizing God above all else. Although the life of a teen can and may get busy, teens are encouraged to put God first and not to allow the cares of this world, with the advancement of technology be the reason to abandon the presence of God. God will not exempt them because of an ever changing society. Teens are to be grounded. They were challenged to make a list of things that are important to them and things that are not. This is a practical way of showing them what really matters to their life. God is not a distant God with a long stick waiting to point out their mistake. Instead, He is a loving father who desires a relationship with teenagers too. Spending time with God in prayer may not always look like getting the spiritually eloquent words, but seeking God from a genuine place where even our layman terms are understood by Him. As you listen in, I pray that this episode is a blessing to you. And if it is, feel free to follow, like and share the podcast with a family or friend. Until next time, this is the Polymath Podcast with Ms Neisha, I'll see you on the other side.
I Can Share My Secrets With God
In this week's episode, teens are encouraged to confide in God as opposed to mere men. When our friends and family spill our secrets, Jesus never will. Our secrets are safe with Him. He will never reveal them unless it is for our deliverance or healing. When teens see Jesus as that friend with whom they can share their secrets, they will begin to build and maintain a personal relationship with Him. And that is the goal; to have a personal relationship with the Lord. Teens can serve the Lord too, and in this episode, they are encouraged to do so by first seeing Christ as the faithful, loyal friend who has their best interest at heart. As you listen in I hope this is a blessing to you, and if it is, please feel free to follow, like, and share the podcast with your friends and family. Until next time this is the Polymath Podcast with Ms Neisha, I'll see you on the other side.
Rebellious Yet Prayerful. Can God Still Use Me?
Teenage years are probably the most difficult to understand by both parents and teens. It is that period of development where teens feel the need to push boundaries, challenge every rule and explore rebellion in its entirety. It is that stage where teens want to discover things far above their level of development and maturity. Despite their relentless pursuit of opposition and rebellion, God is raising up a remnant of teens who will reclaim their generation and be an example to those around them. And while God is working on and in them, parents, teacher and guardians are encouraged to display patience and show respect to their teens because doing the opposite will push them further away. Teens are humans too and the very challenge that they are going through are as new to them as it is to the adults around them. Therefore, approaching them with respect as well as seeking the Lord for direction on how to navigate the teen-season, is essential if adults desire to live harmoniously with them. As you listen in I pray this episode is a blessing to you, and if it is, feel free to follow, subscribe and share the podcast with your loved ones. Maybe there is a teacher, parent or guardian out there that this could be of great benefit to. Thank you so much for listening and until next time this is the Polymath Podcast with Ms Neisha I'll see you on the other side!
Temporada 5
The Fruit of Intentionality
In this week's episode which is our season finale, we closed the curtains down by looking at the fruit of Intentionality. For the past couple of weeks we have dug deep into examining intentionality; the death and humility, the pruning and shaping, the wisdom and knowledge, rising to the occasion with wisdom and discipline, and everything in between. It has truly been a remarkable journey dissecting the different parts of what it means to live an intentional life. So this week as we wrap up the intentional season, we concluded by looking at the Fruit of Intentionality; the lights that will eventually start shining on you, the demand for your gift and talent, time, resources, advice and presence. Yes! It will come, but it is important to be grounded before it comes for the enemy will seize any opportunity he gets to overturn your success. As you anticipate the light of God's glory that is about to radiate upon your life, stay at His feet. Remember the process you had to go through, and be vigilant and prayerful. Now the ball is in your court, what will you do with all the knowledge, wisdom and experiences you have gained? Now is your time to live an intentional life of greatness in Jesus' name! Discipline Strengthens Intentionality Pt2
In this week's episode we continue looking at discipline and how it keeps us productive. We also underscored that discipline and excuses cannot coexist because discipline gives us the impetus to exert the necessary time and effort to accomplish our goals while excuses provide all the reasons we cannot or should not. As you listen in to this week's episode I pray that it is a blessing to you, and if it is please feel free to follow the podcast and share with a friend and family member. Discipline Strengthens Intentionality
In the is week's episode we took a closer look at the incredible quality that discipline is and how it helps us to live with intentionality. Discipline is such a powerful trait that sets us up for success in every way. To be honest, it takes discipline to have discipline. It requires us to set boundaries for ourselves and maintain them despite how insurmountable it may seem. Without discipline we may fall into the trap of making excuses and self sabotaging. We may walk away from opportunities because we didn't develop the discipline to cease them as they come. Many people desire to have the discipline to lose weight and get back in shape but lack the motivation and the self control it takes to to walk in that discipline. Discipline is not passive and so we have to be willing to do the hard work to see the transformation that we desire to see in our lives. As you listen in to this week's episode I pray it is a blessing to you, and if it is, feel free to follow, like and share the page with your families and friends. Until next time, this is the Polymath Podcast with Ms Neisha, I'll see you on the other side.
Counting the Cost
In Luke 14:28 Jesus asked the crowd of people who were following him a very important question: " For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?" In asking this question Jesus was referring to the price one will have to pay to follow Him. It was Matthew 16:24 that says " Then Jesus said unto His disciples, if any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me." To follow Jesus, there is a cost and a price to pay. Though it may not be a monetary price, there is a mental and spiritual reshaping that will take place through a self- mortifying process. Noone can serve the Lord when they are full of themselves and their own ways. Something(s) will have to die for you to serve Christ well. This is why it is important to count the cost before making a decision. And while serving Christ is the BEST decision one could ever make, the Lord still requires for us to count the cost to see if it is a price we're willing to pay. As you listen in to this week's episode I pray it is a blessing to you and if it is, feel free to follow, and share the podcast with a Friend or family member. Until next time, this is the Polymath Podcast with Ms Neisha I'll see you on the other side.
Paul Lived An Intentional Life
In this week's episode we looked at the Intentional Life of the Apostle Paul. Paul had an unrelenting, unwavering passion for preaching the gospel of Christ but it did not start there. Before Paul became a man of God, he has a great passion for persecuting Christians. He took pride in killing believers of Christ and he believed that was the right things to do. When the Lord revealed Himself to Paul on the road to Damascus, Paul life was instantly changed but his passion and intentionality did not change. God only changed the way he used it. So instead of killing Christians, Paul began to preach which such power and fearlessness that he said in Phil 1:21 "For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain." Paul knew that serving Christ came with a cost and he was willing to pay that cost even if it meant risking his life in the process. Today, as believers we can emulate the life of Paul in the way he was unapologetic and courageous in his pursuit of spreading the gospel. As you listen in to this week's episode, I pray that it is a blessing to you and if it is, feel free to follow and share the podcast with your friends and family. Until next time this is the Polymath Podcast with Ms Neisha I'll see you on the other side.
Living Intentionally
In this week's episode we looked at living Intentionally and the importance of doing so unapologetically. So many of us are used to playing Small that when God calls us to walk boldly in our purpose we try to retreat to a former place of comfort. But comfort is the enemy of progress. So if we are going to live intentionally we will have to be obedient to the voice of God and be unapologetically who He has called us to be. It is very possible that what the Lord is calling you to may seem bigger than what you think you care capable of. But this is your assurance that if God is the One who called you to it, then God is the One who will equip you and help you to accomplish it. The days of playing small is over. Our failure to embrace the calling on our lives will keep us out of the will of God, and that is a dangerous place to be. Remember obedience is better than sacrifice! As you listen in to this week's episode I pray it is a blessing to you and if it is, feel free to follow and share the podcast with your friends and family. Until next time this is the Polymath Podcast with Ms Neisha. I'll see you on the other side.
