The Pawdcast Ep. 3: The Boundless Effort in Making the Dance Concert
Every fall, dozens of performers light up Garland stage in the Upper School’s annual dance concert. The 2025 concert “Boundless,” premiering on Thursday, Nov. 20 and running through Saturday, Nov. 22, consists of 22 dances ranging from ballet and contemporary pieces to hip hop and jazz routines. However, there’s so much more to the production than what the audience sees on stage. The dancers have been working on their routines since the start of school in mid-August, and the process of creating choreography extends even further back. Listen to the third episode of “The Pawdcast” to hear how Performing Arts Teacher Danielle Pigneri, alongside numerous student performers and choreographers, brought “Boundless” to life.

The Pawdcast Ep. 2: A Conversation with the New Editors-in-Chief
For the concluding episode of Season 1, the new Editors-in-Chief, Anya and Filiz, sit down to share their vision for The Paw Print. They reflect on their experiences as student contributors and Opinion editors, discussing their goals for creating a more vibrant, accessible, student-driven publication in the coming year. From expanding The Paw Print’s online presence to encouraging new voices and improving writer support, they outline their plans to make the paper a true reflection of the Poly community.
The Pawdcast Ep. 1 - In conversation with Paw Print founder Joe Mathews ('91)
For the inaugural episode of the Pawdcast, a new chapter of Polytechnic's student-run news publication The Paw Print, the 2024-25 student co-editors-in-chief sit down with the publication's founder, Joe Mathews ('91), for a conversation on the paper's place of importance as part of the school community then and now, the power of independent media, and the state of journalism today in a time of rising pressure and censoring. Joe recently joined other members of The Paw Print staff on stage in Garland for an Upper School assembly entitled "Is Democracy Expanding and Declining at the Same Time?” as well as being in attendance in a followup Community Forum later in the day to continue engaging questions surrounding the pluralistic implementations of this thing called Democracy, represented both in hyperlocal neighborhood efforts, to leveraging human rights for the preservation of non-human entities, and more.
