Wednesday for southern and central Maine. The snow arrives between 7 and 8 P.M., peaks around 9 to 11, then tapers off before dawn. In the next 24 hours. Down on the coast, from Portland through Downeast, you'll see 2 to 4 inches of wet snow. You might see a brief mix of sleet or freezing rain late, but ice accumulation stays minimal. Lows bottom out around 27 degrees in Portland, 31 Downeast. Head inland and it's all snow. Augusta through Bangor picks up 2 to 4 inches with lows near 25.
