Seen, Heard, & Understood: The Truth About Your Voice with Tia Cristy
What if the way you communicate today has more to do with your past than you realize? In this episode of The Jackie Scully Show, I sit down with my friend, mentor, global communications expert, and TEDx speaker Tia Cristy for a conversation that goes far beyond public speaking. Tia shares a powerful truth: the way we communicate as adults is often connected to the way we learned we were allowed to communicate as children. Talking too fast, filling every silence, struggling to listen, feeling like you have to fight to be heard—these patterns may have deeper roots than we realize. We explore the psychology and human behavior behind communication, why listening may be one of our most important communication skills, the power of the pause, and what changes when we become more intentional about how we speak, listen, and show up with one another. Tia reminds us that communication isn't only about the words coming out of our mouths—it includes listening, body language, writing, silence, and presence. We also get personal about relationships, childhood conditioning, authenticity, self-awareness, and the courage it takes to recognize when the way we've always communicated simply isn't working anymore. Because underneath so much of our communication is something deeply human: We want to feel seen. We want to feel heard. We want to feel understood. And sometimes changing the way we communicate can change the way we experience our relationships, our work—and ourselves. ✨ Your voice matters. But so does how you use it. About Tia Cristy Tia Cristy is a Global Communications Expert, CEO, TEDx speaker, and former national radio personality who helps leaders communicate with greater clarity, confidence, and influence—both in business and beyond the boardroom. For more than two decades, she has worked with executives, entrepreneurs, royalty, and senior leaders to strengthen communication, build authentic connections, and create cultures where people and organizations thrive. Recognized as one of the nation's top seven female voices, Tia's viral TEDx Talk, It's All Stress: The Frazzler vs. The Silent Stressor, is featured on TED.com. She is also the founder of the award-winning lifestyle brand Tips from Tia. ✨ Connect with Tia: LinkedIn — Tips from Tia Instagram — @tipsfromtia X — @tipsfromtia Facebook — Tips from Tia
The Truth I Found About God—and Myself with Juan Galan
What happens when the beliefs you were given about God no longer match what you feel to be true within yourself? In this episode of The Jackie Scully Show, I sit down with spiritual teacher, identity alchemist, and life coach Juan Galan for a deeply personal conversation about identity, faith, religious deconstruction, and finding his way back to God—and ultimately, back to himself. Juan grew up Catholic in Colombia, knowing from a young age that he was different. As a sensitive, artistic boy who would eventually come to understand himself as gay, questions of belonging, shame, faith, and identity became woven into his story. His journey would eventually take him away from the faith he grew up with, through years of questioning and exploration, and later into a Christian community in Bali. But when old wounds and fears of rejection began resurfacing, Juan found himself asking deeper questions: Who is God? Who was Jesus—Yeshua—really? And can I have a relationship with the divine without abandoning who I am? Those questions led Juan into an exploration of the Bible, metaphysics, Christian mysticism, consciousness, and different ways of understanding spirituality. Along the way, something unexpected happened: his search for his own truth didn't ultimately take him farther away from God. It became part of what brought him back. We talk about the courage it takes to question what you've been taught, the role of deconstruction in the Hero's Journey, religious wounds, identity, shame, curiosity, and what can happen when we stop looking outside ourselves for someone else to tell us what is true. Juan also shares how his own healing journey eventually became a call to serve other gay men navigating shame, grief, identity, and their own return to wholeness. And perhaps the invitation in this conversation isn't to adopt Juan's truth—or mine—but to become curious enough to discover your own. ✨ Question everything. Get curious. And keep coming home to who you are. We close the episode with a guided meditation on wholeness, deconstruction, the Hero's Journey, and remembering that wherever you are on your path, it may be part of becoming who you're here to be. About Juan Galán Juan Galán is a spiritual teacher, identity alchemist, and life coach for gay men navigating transformation. Through his Coming Home coaching program, he guides queer men through deep identity work and spiritual reclamation. He is also the founder of Mystic Misfits Society (Now-Inner Alchemy), a spiritual community exploring consciousness, shadow work, and what it means to live as a remembering being. Juan is an Adobe Ambassador and AI content creator, and he believes God is his CEO—that every collapse, every initiation, and every pivot is divinely orchestrated toward wholeness. ✨ Connect with Juan: 📸 Healing with Juan: @healingwithjuan on Instagram 🌟 Spirituality & Consciousness: @iamjuangalan on Instagram
I Thought I Was Keeping the Peace, but I Was Losing Myself with Nicole Peterhans
What happens when being “the good girl,” keeping the peace, and taking care of everyone else slowly turns into abandoning yourself? In this episode of The Jackie Scully Show, I sit down with author, Soul Alignment Coach, energy healer, and self-love advocate Nicole Peterhans for an honest conversation about people-pleasing, self-worth, limiting beliefs, and what it takes to finally live as your full, authentic self. Nicole shares her own journey from shrinking herself, fearing rejection and criticism, and constantly reading the room to becoming a woman who trusts her voice, honors what she wants, and allows herself to be seen. We explore how early conditioning can become an identity, why kindness rooted in fear or need feels very different from kindness rooted in truth, and how curiosity helped Nicole uncover and release layers of beliefs she didn't even realize she was carrying. We also talk about the power of language, becoming the observer of your own patterns instead of judging yourself for them, listening to the wisdom of the body, and remembering that the identity you've carried for decades does not have to determine who you become next. Because when we change our inner world, our outer world begins to change too. And perhaps underneath all of those old beliefs is something that has been waiting to come forward all along: Your brilliance. Nicole reminds us that every one of us carries something unique that is meant to be expressed—and that freeing ourselves from the need to please, prove, hide, or compare allows more of that brilliance to emerge. We end our conversation with a short guided meditation centered on self-worth, freedom, curiosity, and giving yourself permission to become more fully you. ✨ Your brilliance is meant to be shared with the world. About Nicole Peterhans Nicole Peterhans is an author, Soul Alignment Coach, energy healer, and self-love advocate. She helps sensitive and soulful women release limiting beliefs, heal old emotional patterns, and reconnect with their worth, voice, and authentic self. Originally from Switzerland and now living in the USA, Nicole’s work is deeply rooted in her own journey of moving from self-abandonment and people-pleasing to living with greater truth, confidence, and inner alignment. She is the author of Self-Love for Women: Heal Your Inner Child, Awaken Self-Love, and Create the Relationships You Deserve, and the creator of AHA to Transformation, her signature method of Awareness, Healing, and Alignment. Nicole believes that living your truth is not about becoming someone new. It is about releasing what taught you to hide, so you can return to the self that was always there. In this final solo episode before welcoming guests onto The Jackie Scully Show, I explore Joseph Campbell's Hero's Journey through the lenses of psychology, history, spirituality, and personal growth. Your Dreams Are Trying to Tell You Something: What Happened When I Finally Started Listening
🌙✨ What if your dreams aren’t random… but a conversation with your subconscious? In this episode, I share what happened when I finally started listening and how my relationship with my inner world began to shift. Through meditation, intention, and practicing a more compassionate voice toward myself, my dreams started to feel less like messages to decode and more like a supportive friend offering wisdom, comfort, and guidance. 🤍 I explore dreams as a wellness practice: the connection between our subconscious, nervous system, intuition, healing, and how we can move beyond silencing our inner critic to cultivating an inner companion: a voice that tells the truth… without abandoning us. 🌱✨ I end with a guided meditation about your subconscious and how it speaks to you and is sending you guidance. Your dreams may be trying to tell you something. The question is… are you ready to listen? 🌌 If you are ever interested in discussing your dreams and how dreamwork can literally change your life, feel free to email me or reach out to me on Instagram/Facebook/Tik Tok/LinkedIn. jackie.c.scully@gmail.com @jackiecscully (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) Jackie C Scully-LinkedIn
The Hunger Beneath the Hunger: What Are We Really Hungry For?
We live in one of the most information-rich times in human history... yet so many of us are starving. Not for food. Not for success. We are starving for connection, presence, meaning, belonging, and the feeling of being truly alive. In this episode, I explore the difference between consuming and being nourished, how a dream about nourishment changed the way I see our deepest needs, and why our bodies and subconscious often know what we're are hungry for long before our minds do. Maybe the question isn't, "What do I need more of?" Maybe it's, "What truly nourishes me?" At the end of this episode, I will guide you through a short breathwork and meditation to help you reconnect with yourself and leave you with one simple question that has changed my life: "What makes me feel so damn good?" Because we all deserve to feel so damn good. And when you find that thing... Go to it. Nourish your body. Nourish your soul.
We Were Never Meant to Live in a Box: Holding Opposite Truths and Becoming Whole
What if one of the greatest lies we've been told is that we have to choose one version of ourselves? Society loves labels and boxes. Introvert or extrovert. Logical or intuitive. Ambitious or content. Strong or soft. But what if the truth is that we were never meant to fit neatly into any of them? In this episode, I explore the beauty of holding opposite truths at the same time and why becoming whole isn't about choosing one identity—it's about embracing all the parts of yourself. Drawing inspiration from the Renaissance spirit of Leonardo da Vinci and my own journey as a self-proclaimed "Jackie of all trades," I share why I no longer see my many passions as distractions—but as expressions of who I truly am. Maybe becoming isn't about becoming someone new. Maybe it's about remembering that you were never meant to live in a box. Wholeness isn't found in choosing one truth over another. It's found in having the courage to hold both.
What is Truth...Really? (And I'm Finally Sharing Mine)
In this deeply personal episode, I share the truth behind my journey from The Teacher Story to this new chapter of my work—and the inner awakening that reshaped everything. I open up about identity, burnout, nervous system overwhelm, and the patterns I could no longer ignore, alongside the physical and emotional turning points that forced me back into my body and my truth. This conversation is about dismantling old identities, moving beyond perfectionism and survival, and learning what it really means to heal through embodiment rather than thought alone. I also introduce a new layer of this podcast: ending each episode with a guided breathwork and meditation practice to help you reconnect to your own inner truth.
