A church can easily grow its giving numbers while completely failing to foster surrender to Christ. Writing a check or contributing to a program is not automatically an offering to God just because it moves through church channels; it becomes one only when rooted in faith, genuine joy, and self-consecration. Furthermore, declaring "It’s God’s money" creates accountability at both ends of the plate—institutions receiving funds are held to the exact same standard as members giving them. The goal is not larger offerings, but surrendered people through whom Christ's life flows.
