Two people can say the exact same words: "What you did was wrong." One carries the life-giving aroma of Jesus; the other merely vents ego, wounded pride, and institutional authority. The tragic deception is claiming people "rejected the truth" when they actually just rejected our arrogance. True Christian triumph is not winning arguments, crushing opponents, or punishing sinners; it is Christ redeeming the painful mess of reconciliation. Before confronting anyone in God's name, ask the soul-searching question: are they encountering the fragrance of Christ, or just smelling your desire to win?
