The second time the Father pronounces Jesus his beloved son, he adds, very importantly, "... Listen to him". Jesus is not the king we expect, but he is the King that we need him to be. When we lay down our ideas about who Jesus should be, and listen to the Jesus that is, we get a picture of the good life.
