We're staring at 86 degrees under brilliant sunshine. A full 56 degrees above where we should be in late February. The calendar says winter, but the thermometer is screaming spring. In the next 24 hours. Here's the setup. A weak cold front slid off the Gulf Coast overnight, but it forgot to bring the cold. It just cleared out the clouds. Now high pressure is building overhead, acting like a heat pump. Gulf moisture rides back in on southerly winds tonight. and that sets the stage for some fog.
