As we are on our journey to growing in maturity we must know the role of the Holy Spirit. In our base verse in Titus, it talks about how the Holy Spirit renews us. Transforming us from the old into the new is the first aspect of the Holy Spirit. If we are not made new, then we are still of the old life. Becoming increasing newer in Christ is the direction we need to grow. If we don't grow in that direction, then we are becoming more carnal, natural. The Holy Spirit also is in charge of birthing the new creation life in us. We see this with Mary when she birthed Jesus. She was an example of how the Holy Spirit is to begot Christ in our own lives. Understanding these roles of the Holy Spirit is what will help us to grow into more mature Christians.
