Following the devastating floods in the Bhote Koshi River, the need to strengthen the cross-border information system between Nepal and China has become even more critical. The exchange of early warnings and the sharing of real-time data are particularly important aspects. In the wake of this flood-induced destruction, both nations are working towards an agreement. We spoke with Binod Parajuli, Chief of the Flood Forecasting Section, about the nature of the proposed agreement with China and the timeline for its finalization.
