Research shows that children who follow a plant-based diet tend to have a lower fat mass, lower blood cholesterol levels and lower fasting glucose levels. This can be helpful in lowering their risk of developing certain chronic health conditions like type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol when compared to their peers. Adopting a plant-based diet early in life can help set children up for a lifetime of better health. However, we understand that sometimes children can be picky little eaters, leaving parents with the frustration of figuring out how to get more plants on their child’s plate.
