Good morning. South Dakota. I'm Aaron Jolly. That gray blanket outside your window? Dense fog has settled across eastern South Dakota overnight. Visibility has dropped to a quarter mile or less in spots from Watertown to Sisseton. A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect until noon, so give yourself extra time on the roads this morning. In the next 24 hours. But here's the payoff. Once that fog burns off, we're looking at temperatures running about 20 degrees above normal for early March. Eastern South Dakota climbs to 56 degrees this afternoon under partly sunny skies. Head west and it gets even warmer. Central South Dakota hits 67 degrees with sunshine. Out in the Black Hills region? You're looking at a stunning 68 degrees. Tonight stays mild with lows around 34 to 39 degrees. Patchy fog may redevelop toward morning.
