Step outside right now and you're feeling 67 degrees. That's not spring warmth — that's summer heat crashing the party in early March. But here's the twist. Storms are coming to spoil it.
The Upstate gets hit first. Showers roll through this morning, building to thunderstorms by 4 P.M. Some could pack a punch — damaging winds and hail possible along I-37. High near 74 before the storms arrive. Tonight drops to 56 as showers taper off by 8 P.M. The Midlands stay drier longer. Partly sunny until around 2 P.M., then rain and storms develop. The heaviest action hits between 2 P.M. and 11 P.M. High near 81 — that's 37 degrees above normal. Tonight settles to 61 with patchy fog rolling in after midnight.
