Phil Chen is a Republican member of the California State Assembly, representing District 55. He assumed office in 2016. His current term ends on December 4, 2022. He ran for re-election to the California State Assembly to represent District 55. He won in the general election on November 3, 2020.

Chen previously served as a representative on the Walnut Valley Unified School District Board of Education in California. He was first elected to the board in November 2011 and served until he took office in the Assembly.
