We describe our experience and reactions to the initial release of the album, and how our thoughts about the album have evolved over the past few months. We rave about the album cover, discuss the influences we noticed in the music, and go deep with our interpretations. We talk about our favorite songs and unpack the dense (and sad and weird) lyrics. Finally, we discuss the experience of seeing the closing track, Awake, performed live and speculate on whether more of this album will be played at the summer shows. An in-depth discussion of Chapter One: The Crawl. We are finally diving into, or more accurately, climbing the tower that is season 5 of Stranger Things! Join Meghan and Stacy as we start off strong with what will probably be one of our favorite episodes of this season, exploring key plot points, character developments, and behind-the-scenes insights. This first episode brings us back (finally) to Hawkins with all of our favorite characters, and we learn what happened during the 18-month time jump. Maybe surprisingly, we really enjoyed discussing this action-backed episode, including the callbacks to past seasons, the meta moments, and the 80s music on the soundtrack. Even if you have mixed feelings about the final season, we’ve all been missing our favorite show, and we hope these deep dives are as therapeutic for everyone as they definitely will be for us.
