Sunspot group 4366 is rapidly growing and becoming extremely active, with a high likelihood of producing M-class and X-class flares. This activity could lead to solar storms impacting Earth around the 3rd to 5th of February. The formation of this new, compact, and dense sunspot group adds a dynamic element to the already active solar cycle.

During solar maximum, the heliosphere strengthens, redirecting cosmic rays away from the solar system. This results in a reduction of cosmic ray flux on Earth, which is currently lower than during solar cycle 24 and 23. The sunspot count is expected to decrease further, but significant solar flares and storms are still possible during the descending cycle.
