The term "Gippslanders" is used to describe people from the Latrobe Valley and Gippsland region of the State of Victoria Australia, retrospectively.

That includes the indigenous Yarra Yallou and Gunna Kurnai areas, and other areas abandoned by a third group who packed up and left thousands of years ago, after holding a vote on it (or something), and mass emigrated to what is now caled Tasmania,
