Stories of the Sea - Cool Corals, Critters & Community
In this second episode of Sea People, Michelle has returning guests - marine scientists Meg Burke and Terry Gosliner, two long-time researchers with the California Academy of Sciences. They cover several weighty subjects including coral reefs and grief, as well as the sheer volume of biodiversity of creatures that are currently being discovered and yet to be seen. Space is given to honor the life and efforts of Kent Carpenter, a renowned ichthyologist, who has moved the museum and research world with his life's work in the Philippines and around the world. Terry shares his partnership with innovative aquatics wear company Waterlust, which aims to spread scientific awareness of ocean conservation in the form of coral lab funding through fashion-forward swimwear.
