The Monterey Bay Sanctuary Scenic Trail Network (MBSST) aims to create a 50-mile bicycle and pedestrian trail, with 32 miles forming the Coastal Rail Trail. Measure D funds, accounting for 17% of revenues, are allocated to this trail's construction and maintenance. However, the estimated $174 million in Measure D funds over 30 years is insufficient.
