This week Pastor Cam takes us through 1 Peter 4:7-11 and discusses the three ways that Peter emphasizes unity in the local church. First, Peter tells us that Prayer is the way that the church is going to be unified. Prayer is a tool in the individuals life to bring them to corporate unity. The Holy Spirit works through each individual and moves the church together. Second, Peter teaches us that unity comes through our actions towards one another. The church is called to loving one another, even though that can be difficult. People can be difficult to love, but that does not mean that we are to love them less. Finally, Peter teaches that unity comes together through serving on mission together. The church will be unified in their mission, and this is dependent upon their love for one another and most importantly through their prayer life. .
