Folks, step outside right now and you might think winter called in sick. We're sitting at a surprisingly mild 44 degrees. Considering we woke up to 18 this morning, that 26-degree jump is something else. An Arctic front is charging toward New England. and today is your last comfortable day for a while.
In the next 24 hours. Here's what's happening. High pressure is giving us mostly sunny skies this afternoon. Providence climbs to 46 degrees — that's 8 degrees above normal for late February. Down at Narragansett Bay, you'll see 42 degrees with a gentle south wind around 7 miles an hour. Honestly, it's perfect weather for a walk.
Tonight, clouds increase. Lows drop to 27 degrees in Providence and 29 along the Bay.
