Temporada 1
Becoming a Christian
How do you become a Christian? Repent of our sinful lives and turn to Christ. This episodes is simply to introduce how easy it is to become a Christian, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ for the fullness of salvation. I finish by very briefly detailing that becoming a Christian also requires a change of life and includes the adoption into Gods family.
Repentance
What is repentance?Repentance is crucial to the Christian life, the Apostle Peter told the crowd after his sermon that they must all repent and be baptized, so Repentance is unquestionably foundation to the Christian life, and in this episode I aim to highlight the main tenets of the doctrine of repentance to lay a sort out groundwork on that topic going forward.
Saving faith
What is saving faith? Saving faith is that faith which all true believers actively act out in accepting, receiving and resting upon the truth of Christ for salvation.
Who is Jesus Christ? The God-Man
Who is Jesus Christ?Jesus Christ is the foundation of the Christian faith, to have a false Christ is to have no redeemer, no hope or salvation. Getting who Christ is right is fundamental to our faith, this episode seeks to be a launch pad for a series of episodes exploring who Christ is, in His divinity, humanity, as our Priest, our Prophet and King.
Temporada 2
Psalm 1 Part 1: The blessed man
This Psalm introduces us to the Psalter, the grand book of God's praises. In this episode we will be focusing strictly on the blessed man and what the Psalm teaches us concerning the blessed ones of God's chosen people.
Psalm 1 Part 2: The wicked perish.
The wicked will perish. The wicked people of this world are like chaff, dust driven by the whirlwind of God's judgment and devoured in the fire. Christian's on the other hand have our foundation upon Christ himself and rest firmly in His righteousness to the saving of our souls. God's judgment on sin will be poured out on the day of judgment, the wicked will do nothing but melt like wax in the furnace of justice.
Psalm 1: Part 1 & 2
This episode is simply the combination of Part 1 and 2 of the Psalm 1 series.
Psalm 2: Wicked nations & God's antidote
In this episode I dive into the topics of wicked and godly nations and the blessings accrued in the ministry, death and resurrection of Christ that serve as a divine antidote to problem of sin in mankind.
Psalm 8: Divine Adoration
This Psalm is a great Psalm of David, it contains 9 verses that exalt God's name in adoration, pure adoration. There is an acronym for structuring prayer that I believe is very helpful, ACTS. ACTS stands for Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving and Supplication. We life God up in adoration, exalting His name before we confess our sins before Him. Recognizing our sinfulness and His excellence we thank God for His continued mercy and grace that is continually poured over us and finally end in asking of Him what we require. This Psalm provides a fantastic framework for the Adoration part of our prayers and devotions, His divine glory, use of weak people, creator and sustainer of all creation, divine providence and His placing of mankind as stewards over all of creation.
Psalm 11: In God we trust
In this Psalm we cover the topic of trusting in God despite the ungodly counsel that surrounds us daily that would have us place our trust in the things of this world and not in the Lord who is able and willing to deliver. The wicked have set themselves continually against God and against righteous counsel and action, the saints must be on guard to defend themselves against this usurpation of God's rule in our lives. Let us continue to trust in God, knowing that Christ has freed us from our sin and the clutches of the evil one, let us cling to Christ eternally.
