By age 12, he was smoking weed, drinking by 14, and living on his own by 16—already caught in a cycle of daily alcohol abuse. The next decade was marked by addiction, playing music in bars, repeated jail time, and escalating substance use that included pills and meth. Jesse’s life spiraled into suicidal behavior and homelessness, leaving him broken and desperate.
