Someone posted online that other Christians make them grouchy — the snark, the superiority, the sense that the people who were meant to be safe aren't. Buried in the middle of it is a shorter line: we don't have each other as a safe space.

This episode doesn't answer the question. It goes to Jeremiah, who wanted a shelter in the desert so he wouldn't have to be among his own people, and wept for them in the same breath. Then to Psalm 55, which says almost the same sentence as the post, pointed somewhere else.
