This episode goes back to id Software's Suite 666 office in 1992, where Tom Hall's story-heavy Doom Bible collided with John Carmack and John Romero's demand for pure action, a clash that ended with Hall fired in July 1993 and Sandy Petersen brought in ten weeks before launch to finish the levels.
