You Can Outrun the Goodness of God | Psalm 23:6
You've been praying. You've been showing up. And somewhere in the back of your head there's a sentence you don't say out loud: I haven't felt God's goodness in a long time.
Most of us assume that means He stopped. Psalm 23:6 says something harder — and stranger.
"Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me" is the polite translation. The Hebrew is a hunting word: pursue, chase, hunt down. David wrote it as a man who spent most of his life being chased for real — by Saul, by foreign armies, eventually by his own son.
