Perfectly Excellent - The Rewind Club: Labyrinth
Ep. 55 - 8/27/26: t’s time for another episode of The Rewind Club and this month Alan has chosen the Jim Henson / Lucasfilm movie, Labyrinth. Originally released in 1985, it’s a movie that Alan has grown up with and enjoyed. Tim has never seen it, so he watched and will be walking us through the plot and commenting on what it was like seeing it for the first time. Alan will be giving his perspective having grown up with the movie. Tim has not enjoyed Alan’s previous selections for The Rewind Club. Ep. 53 - The main event this week will be the 2026 San Diego Comic Con recap. We weren’t there, but Alan & Tim have put together a list of interesting reveals and exclusives to chat about. There were definitely some unexpected toys shown off and we’ll get into it. Before that, we will have a mini version of a Do Something segment as Tim went to the Toys For The Ages Expo toy show in Gettysburg, PA. We’ll be discussing that show and Tim will show off a few pickups as well as tell a tale of a purchase gone awry. Ep 48 - UHF starring “Weird Al” Yankovic is one of those movies that really earns the description of ‘cult classic.’ Released to minimal fanfare in a ridiculously crowded summer of 1989, its legend has grown over the years and now it’s the movie of the month for our latest installment of The Rewind Club. Tim saw this in the theaters in 1989 and has probably seen it another few hundred times since then. Alan has only seen it once and didn’t really remember much about it, making it the perfect candidate for a Rewind Club. What does Alan think of it viewing it with 2026 eyes? Ep 47 - Not to be confused our monthly The Rewind Club, the Perfectly Excellent crew left the house to see The Mandalorian and Grogu on the big screen. And now we shall talk about it. Ep 46 - In the quest to Do Something, Tim took the 2 hour drive and hit up the 2026 edition of the Shop The Curiosity Toy Show in Danbury, CT on May 2. Alan wasn’t able to come, so on this week’s episode of Perfectly Excellent Tim is going to recap the sights, sounds and spectacle of this East Coast toy show. There was some incredible toy hunting to be had and we’ll be discussing the highlights.
