In 2 Kings Chapter 17 we meet Hoshea, the 19th and the last king of Israel. He is also from a new dynasty or family line, representing a ninth “dynasty.” Technically these “one king lines” are not dynasties, but what else can you call them?

The “promises” of Deuteronomy 28 are now in full swing. The Lord is taking the Israelites away, and they are being scattered throughout the world. This is called the dispersion, and Israel is exiled all over the place.
