In 2 Kings Chapter 6 is the miracle of the floating axe head and the incredible lifting of the siege of Samaria. Elisha is prominent in both.

In the siege a donkey's head became expensive - food was rare, and people were eating bird droppings.

King Joram of Israel does not follow God, but has a connection with Elisha which is seen at times, including in this chapter. This chapter is only half the story which is setup for and completed in the next.
