In Numbers 9 some people missed being able to celebrate the passover because they had touched a dead body and were ceremonially unclean. Moses sought the Lord and they were required to celebrate a week later.

This demonstrated the importance of making it a priority. This also meant that people would not deliberately touch a dead body so as to miss out on having to celebrate Passover. We see parallels to church attendance:

People who don’t want to go, doing things to have an excuse not to goo

We should be making attendance a priority.

The Church is also God’s people, so we make them a priority.

There is much to say about this.

Later in the chapter we see God’s leading of the Israelites by a pillar of cloud and fire.
