Through the parable of the wheat and the weeds, Jesus reminds us that the enemy may sow confusion among God’s people, but the Lord Himself will separate the righteous from the wicked in His appointed time. Our calling is not to walk in bitterness, judgment, or revenge, but to remain faithful, holy, and full of the love of Christ while God works all things according to His perfect will. As we continue in Matthew 18:12–14, we see the heart of the Good Shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine to seek the one that is lost. Heaven rejoices over every soul that repents and returns to the Father. The Word of God in Proverbs also gives us divine wisdom for daily living. Proverbs 26:11 warns us not to return to foolish ways like a dog returning to its vomit. Proverbs 17:22 teaches that “a cheerful heart is good medicine,” while Proverbs 19:19 reminds us about the danger of uncontrolled anger. Proverbs 15:3 declares that the eyes of the Lord are everywhere, watching both the evil and the good. Nothing escapes the sight of Almighty God. Through 1 Corinthians 15:3, we are reminded of the foundation of our faith: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures. And in Matthew 28:16–20, Jesus gives the Great Commission, commanding His disciples to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Prepare your heart for a Holy Spirit-filled word that will encourage you to trust God’s justice, walk in forgiveness, remain faithful in difficult seasons, and allow the Lord of the harvest to separate and judge in His perfect timing.
