In this third and final episode of the trilogy on gender-separate spaces, we look exclusively at what happens when well-intentioned men are told to "sort if out for yourselves".

We follow an imaginary man called Dave — the kind of guy the gender-equality movement should find easy to reach. He wants the softer skills that often live in women-run community and self-development spaces: listening, belonging, emotional literacy, better sex and relationships. Then he finds those rooms closed to him, and the message is some version of “go sort it out with other men.” We walk five paths he might take: success, nothing happening, anger, the less healthy parts of the men’s movement, and a possible future of legal challenges.
