The Billy Goat Curse is a famous sports superstition associated with the Chicago Cubs.

According to the story, during the 1945 World Series, a tavern owner named William Sianis brought his pet goat to a game at Wrigley Field. After he and the goat were asked to leave because the goat's odor was bothering spectators, Sianis allegedly declared that the Cubs would never win another World Series.

For decades afterward, the Cubs experienced a long championship drought and several heartbreaking playoff losses, leading many fans to jokingly blame the "Billy Goat Curse." The superstition became a well-known part of baseball folklore.
