That damp, heavy air that clings to your jacket and turns every sidewalk into a mirror. We've already picked up eight-tenths of an inch of rain in the last day, with another quarter to half-inch on the way. Classic late-winter Oregon — where the sky forgets how to stop. An atmospheric river is parked over us. And it's not done yet. Rain keeps coming through tonight. But here's the twist. While the valleys stay soggy, the mountains are getting interesting. A Winter Weather Advisory runs until 10 A.M for the Upper Hood River Valley above 1,000 feet. Slick spots, especially on bridges and overpasses, with a trace to an inch of slushy snow possible.
