BIOG: A well-known politician and broadcaster, he was the MP for Mid Staffordshire from 1992 before it was renamed Litchfield in 1997. During his time in Parliament he held numerous positions in both opposition and govt including time as a shadow trade minister drawing on his experience selling radio and tv studio systems abroad and a senior whip when he was responsible for ensuring govt legislation passed under the leadership of David Cameron.
