On our very first episode, we discuss the differences based on demographics and culture when it pertains to the education and understanding of mental health. As well as the lack of mental health professionals in poverty stricken areas. Our conclusion, it was our generation (Gen X) and those before us, didn’t fully understand the severity of inclusion opposed to seeking help from medical professionals. Granted, mental health issues has been around since man, but the understanding that it can be helped is fairly new.
