We're sitting at 43 degrees right now — a whopping 20 degrees above normal — under gray skies. It's a wild start to the weekend. Eastern North Dakota climbs to 62 by afternoon. Central North Dakota is even toastier at 67. Up north, you'll see highs near 60. But you'll not just feel the heat. You'll hear it. Southwest winds howl between 14 and 31 miles an hour. Gusts could hit 38 miles an hour in the center of the state. Tonight brings a weird twist. Temperatures actually rise overnight.
