Today’s reading takes us to Isaiah 6, where the earthly throne is shaken by Uzziah’s death, but the heavenly throne is still occupied. Isaiah sees the Lord high and lifted up, the train of His robe filling the temple, and the seraphim crying, “Holy, holy, holy.” Before Isaiah is ever sent, he is first undone by the holiness of God.
