The Capital Region climbs from freezing this morning to 62 by afternoon. Western New York tops out at 57. Central New York? You win at 67 degrees. Sunshine dominates, with breezy southwest winds gusting to 20 miles an hour. But here's the catch. All that snowpack in the higher terrain? It's melting fast.
