Good evening! I'm Aaron Jolly. And welcome to the New York Weather Podcast. It's Sunday, February 22nd. And folks, a Nor'easter is bearing down on us right now. Light snow is already falling across the state. But what's coming tonight? That's a whole different animal. A rapidly intensifying low is tracking up the coast. And by this evening, snowfall rates hit one to two inches per hour. The wind kicks in from the northeast at 20 to 35 miles an hour, gusts screaming to 48. Visibility drops to a quarter mile. This is a full blown blizzard. The city takes the hardest hit. You're looking at 14 to 20 inches by the time this wraps up Monday. Wind chills plunge to 13 degrees overnight with a low near 29.
