Because we're about to trade this quiet weather for something much more active. Today's high hits 54 degrees in the Twin Cities under mostly sunny skies. Down south Here comes 59 degrees — nearly 20 degrees above normal for this time of year. Head north and it's cooler, topping out at 44 degrees with breezy northwest winds gusting to 25 miles an hour. Tonight stays mild, dropping to the mid to upper 30s statewide. Partly cloudy in the Twin Cities and south, but northern Minnesota sees snow developing after 9 P.M. Light accumulations expected up there — less than an inch. Tuesday brings the first real system of the week. The Twin Cities reach 47 degrees with a chance of rain after noon.
