Rain is already here this morning. And it brought friends. Southern Minnesota woke up to thunderstorms rumbling through before dawn — heavy downpours and lightning to start your Friday. That activity pushes north through mid-morning, then we catch our breath this afternoon. But the break is short. Another round of storms fires up late afternoon into evening. The Twin Cities could see showers and thunderstorms before 3 P.M., with the heaviest stuff ramping up through the evening.
