Folks, enjoy the quiet tonight.. Because tomorrow gets wild. A winter storm warning kicks in at 10 A.M. Tuesday for the eastern Upper Peninsula. Chippewa and Mackinac Counties are staring down 6 to 9 inches. Blowing snow along US 9 degrees west of the Mackinac Bridge could create near whiteout conditions. That's no joke.
But tonight? Tonight's the deep breath before the punch. Lows drop to 16 degrees in the southeast. West Michigan falls to 14. Up north? A frigid 9 degrees. Wind chills tomorrow morning hit 8 degrees in Grand Rapids around 7 A.M. Traverse City? A brutal single degree above zero around 8 A.M. Your car is going to protest.
