Good afternoon. Maryland. I'm Aaron Jolly. If you're driving right now, slow down. Dense fog has swallowed the state — visibility down to a quarter mile in spots. That fog advisory runs until 10 A.M., so headlights on, eyes sharp. In the next 24 hours. Once that fog burns off, we're in for a strange one. A front is wobbling across Maryland. And it's splitting us into weather zones. Baltimore hits 56 degrees. Central Maryland reaches 55. But Western Maryland? You're the winner today at 60 degrees. That's the warmest spot in the state. This afternoon, the atmosphere gets unstable. Western Maryland sees scattered thunderstorms roll in around 1 P.M. The Storm Prediction Center has flagged a Marginal Risk for severe weather in the Potomac Highlands. Most storms stay tame, but one or two could punch above their weight.
