This new month of Tammuz started Friday July 5 at sundown and is the fourth month on the Hebrew calender. It is named after a Babylonian god so the Jews can remember how they sought idols at the base of Mt Sinai in Exodus 32.

Tammuz is a month where God reveals the idols of our heart and He begins to strip them. An idol is something we worship consciously or unconsciously in many ways. It stands in the way of a deeper relationship with God. It hinders our mantle assignments. As we experience spiritual warfare by the enemy it’ll be around these idols as Satan wants us entangled in them so he can shut us down once we’re accelerating in our mantle assignments.
