Everyone speaks with an accent, whether we know it or not. Your accent is a product of your culture and environment. Spiritually speaking, thankfulness is the accent of Heaven, and complaint is the accent of Hell. When our minds are immersed in the "culture" of Heaven and God's Word, we will speak with thankfulness on our lips. But when our minds are immersed in the culture of the world and the lies of the enemy, we will overflow with complaint. We can't thank God enough. And we ought to be people who don't take for granted the many blessings of God. In this story in John, we see Jesus heal a paralyzed man, but for the purpose not only that he could walk, but so that he could turn from his sin and give God glory.
