It isn't easy to follow Jesus. His teachings are challenging, His message of dying to self is one of humility and brokenness. In this story, many of His own disciples can't bear listening any longer, and so they turn away. Every day, we have the choice to either follow Christ in His teaching and example, or we can go our own way. And though the other way is easier, more comfortable, and more suited to our liking, we also have to ask ourselves, as Peter did in this story, "to whom else shall we go?"  What other real option do we have, if we have come to know that Jesus actually has the words to eternal life? Is there really any other way?
