At Pentecost (the 50th day after Easter) we see the disciples waiting, expectantly, for the Spirit helper Jesus had promised.  They know they are in over their heads and that they don't have what it will take to accomplish the mission Jesus has given them.  They know they are in need, big time, and their only good option is to wait for the Spirit to show up.  And He does!  In that moment, we see God's radical plan unfold...the provision of Himself, indwelling these weak, common people (just like you and I!) to empower the kind of supernatural love and service Jesus had called His followers to.  If we go out and try to love and serve and follow the Great Commission out of our own strength, we will become exhausted and discouraged.  But we have One inside of us ...
